I produce a ten-minute YouTube tutorial every week about photo editing and the reason I want to repurpose it is to maintain a consistent presence on Instagram Reels and TikTok without doubling my workload. The challenge is deciding which segments deserve to stand alone as short clips. Should I pull the most dramatic before-and-after moment, or extract a step-by-step mini tutorial that teaches one specific technique? I also need to consider whether the hook works without the broader context of the full video. My current approach is to cut three clips per video and post them across platforms over the following week. However, engagement on these clips is much lower than my original YouTube content. What repurposing frameworks have you found effective? How do you adapt tone and pacing for shorter formats?
